Cemetery Maps
We have prepared a special section for cemetery maps.In today's day and age, when our cars know how do get there without us, why should we?
Of course, not everyone has a GPS , but even more so , we think that 'up here' where we sit , relatively , at the top of the Jewish world, it could be the map won't find the cemetery as it has no address .At least , so are we told about the St Sophie cemetery !
Apparently , in the early 1900's at the initiative of Baron Rothchild , many Jewish settlers came and started farm villages.St . Sophie had an active jewish community a shul and a cemetery. The modern 'chevra kedisha' of Montreal was able to purchase the lot of their cemetery as an adjunct to the old Jewish cemetery which was there. We were told that there is no address recorded in the city records.
Actually, besides all, in a time of tzar , one doesn't have time to ask questions.
You should never need these maps!
