Massive Asifa

The massive asifa in New York and the corresponding hookups here in Montreal places upon every one of us the charge to reaccept our  existential purpose as an 'Am Kododsh.'

Last night , we sighed a relief as we joined (by hookup) the asifa and promised ourselves to work at making our own personal online experience more kosher and safe.In the meantime , we hope to make our work here at 613montreal more relevant .If not , why be online?

Internet connectivity excels in on-time knowledge , learning and connection.We are proud of our Torah authors (and after proper archiving , we'll be listing them again up front), but they and personal vignettes and stories will better go to the blog where we can use properly mediated comments.We also welcome a new author , Shmuel Gross. Shmuel has a special interest in 'heimish history' of Montreal yiddishkeit.

We've also added a new section which has been on our mind for a long time - tech tutorials and alerts, both aimed for 'kashrus ' on the 'net ,and also for general ,relevant information.We're posting a series of articles from a major security provider .Though our standards have to be higher , especially when dealing with our children ,ie. 'failsafe', we thought it worthwhile to see learn in depth from responsible tech providers.Ultimately , the best defense is knowledge in a world where changes happen with the speed of light.

Bli neder ,in the next few days , we hope to post some divrey machshava on this important topic in the blog section.
