The Threat from Within. A century of of Jewish opposition to Zionism   by professor Yakov Rabkin.
Yakov M. Rabkin is a Professor of History at the University of Montreal, where he has taught the history of science and contemporary Jewish history since 1973. The author of hundreds of articles and several books, he wrote this recent book in French (Au nom de la Torah: une histoire de l’opposition juive au sionisme, PUL, 2004). It has since been published in a number of languages, has received scholarly and Jewish acclaim, and has stimulated important debate about Zionism and its adversaries. The English version of Professor Rabkin’s book was nominated for the Governor General Award in 2006. Many consider this book a "must " for anyone eager to understand the opposition of many mainstream religious Jews, well beyond the circle of Neture Karta, to secular political Zionism and its embodiment in the State of Israel.
